Ban Smoking in Apartments
Eliminate smoking within apartments. Prohibit smoking in all outdoor areas within 25 feet of housing and administrative office buildings, including balconies, porches, and decks.
Investigate Smoking Complaints
For the Housing Authority and Property Management to take reasonable measures to address complaints of smoking violations and drifting smoke between apartments.
Maintain Policy
For the Housing Authority and Property Management to conduct periodic inspections and audits to help monitor whether policies are being enforced. Take specific, progressive monitoring and enforcement actions.
